Remediation of industrial sites and contaminated sites

The remediation of industrial sites as well as contaminated sites and areas is of great importance for environmental protection and for reducing land consumption. One can find such areas in many functional urban areas throughout Bavaria. Often they have fallen fallow due to industrial structural change. This funding measure aims to reestablish the usability of so called brownfield areas, eliminate environmental hazards and return land to the economic and natural cycle.
