STEP – Capital Investments in SME

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have a high capital requirement in the early and growth phases, which often cannot be covered by external capital due to uncertainties regarding entrepreneurial success. The aim of the measure is therefore to support promising small and medium-sized enterprises in the STEP technology sectors with venture capital in order to drive innovation and reduce dependencies. The STEP technology sectors are digital technologies and technology-intensive innovations, environmentally friendly and resource-efficient technologies, as well as biotechnologies. The investment fund is managed by Bayern Kapital GmbH.
