STEP – Technology transfer from institutions of higher education and university hospitals to SMEs

The measure strengthens the innovation performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by networking with regionally anchored universities and university hospitals. Projects are funded where universities, university hospitals, and SMEs cooperate, for example, to develop new technological solutions or to solve technological problems. The aim is to strengthen European competitiveness and resilience in strategic STEP technology sectors and to reduce dependence on foreign supply chains.
